The EZ Solar Junction Box – Asphalt Shingle, specifically the JB-1.XL model designed for larger systems, provides a convenient solution for solar installations. It offers a spacious interior while retaining the features that installers appreciate in the original JB-1 model.
The larger size of the JB-1.XL box allows for more space inside, accommodating larger systems, and reducing the number of junction boxes required. This not only simplifies the installation process but also helps to lower overall costs.
Installing the EZ Solar Junction Box is quick and hassle-free. It comes with a pre-installed Din Rail, further streamlining the installation process. The box is constructed from advanced durable polycarbonate and superior components, ensuring longevity and durability in various weather conditions.
The EZ Solar Junction Box – Asphalt Shingle has a maximum voltage rating of 1,000 Volts and is available in two models: JB-1.2 with a maximum current rating of 80 Amps and JB-1.XL with a maximum current rating of 120 Amps. It supports wire sizes ranging from 14 AWG to 6 AWG.
The enclosure of the junction box is rated as Type 3R, offering protection against environmental elements. The box is suitable for roof slopes within the range of 2.5 – 12:12 and accommodates fittings with a maximum size of 1″ for side walls and floor pass-through.
The EZ Solar Junction Box – Asphalt Shingle meets UL1741 and CSA C22.2 No. 290 standards, ensuring compliance with safety and performance requirements. Approved wire connectors conforming to UL1741 and CSA C22.2 No. 290 are compatible with this junction box.
