The Samlex 4.2kW Inverter – Inverter/Charger is an all-in-one power system designed to meet the needs of off-grid and backup power applications. It combines the functions of a split-phase power inverter, battery charger, and transfer switch, providing a comprehensive solution for residential and small commercial setups.
One of the key features of this device is its 120/240VAC split-phase capability. This allows it to connect into the standard household panel and provide both 120V and 240V AC output power, meeting the requirements of various appliances and equipment.
The AC input of the inverter is programmable for voltage and frequency, allowing users to set the thresholds for switching between the grid and generator as power sources. The inverter can be configured to initiate generator start when the grid is lost, providing seamless backup power.
The Samlex 4.2kW Inverter – Inverter/Charger integrates solar charging into its power system. It enables you to connect a 48V MPPT solar charge controller directly to the device through the 100 Amp Battery Charger external DC input. This integration allows for efficient solar power utilization and seamless operation with the inverter.
The inverter offers three or four-stage charging with equalization, which can be manually initiated. It uses an adaptive algorithm during the bulk charging stage to assess the condition of lead-acid batteries, optimizing the charging process and extending battery life. The charging thresholds can be programmed, and specific settings are available for lithium-ion batteries.
The transfer switch in the inverter ensures smooth and uninterrupted power switching between the inverter and the grid. It provides zero transfer time when switching from the inverter to the grid, synchronizing with the waveform and transferring instantly at zero crossing. When the grid is lost, the transfer relay switches to the inverter without causing power disruption.
The Samlex 4.2kW Inverter – Inverter/Charger offers surge capacity with 3X surge power for high surge loads on startup, such as compressors or refrigerators. It also has power overload allowances for short periods, reducing the need for oversizing the inverter to handle heavy surge loads.
